Our Background Our extensive background in the trucking/transport industry, in particular, attunes WindRoads to the sensitive issues surrounding state and federal highway permits, law enforcement coordination, engineering complexities pertaining to weight/load and logistical trip planning, traffic management and other safety issues. Beyond our primary goal – conveyance of wind farm equipment by using a highly specialized Wind Turbine Transport Vehicle (WTTV) ; their safe conveyance is of the utmost priority. All told, we hope to reduce carbon dioxide emissions for the long-term future by facilitating the delivery of 100 or more wind turbines. We mean business when it comes to helping America reduce carbon emissions. Of all domestic energy options – nuclear, coal, petroleum, natural gas, hydrogen, wind, sun and water – we think wind power has the greatest potential, is the least environmentally intrusive and is the most readily accessible energy-producing commodity available.
Annually...
- One wind turbine can supply enough renewable energy to power 400 average size homes.
- One Wind Turbine Transport Vehicle (WTTV) on average makes seven round trips from the manufacturer to a wind farm to deliver the enormous parts of just one wind turbine.
- One WTTV on the road only day light hours and weekdays (as limited by law) can, on average, deliver 18 wind turbines annually to a wind farm.
- 18 wind turbines produce 27 mega watts (MW) of new renewable energy, or enough to supply 7200 average size homes.
For more than two decades, power companies have developed and promoted considerable savings and wind farm’s carbon-free energy production. And now, state and Federal governments are joining utilities in urging increased interest in the development of wind farms.
