Unlike certain existing Carbon Offset companies, our company is a donation-based program carefully aligned with ethically based business practices and procedures. We also intend to assist federal regulators with suggestions and further guidelines of our own, based on stringent WindRoads standards for the identification and tracking capability of every donor dollar we receive. As for our current competition, there are only a few transport companies that have this equipment – and there are no other entities of significant size delivering ONLY wind turbines. And none have yet offered WindRoads’ level of management expertise and competitive pricing and safety programs. WindRoads is a private for Profit Company seeking contributions which provide donors with carbon offset certificates as evidence of their gift.
Verification and TrackingEach WindRoads WTTV will carry a log book listing donor names, not as owners but as contributors, credited toward that specific vehicle and its mandated Vehicle Identification Number. Global Positioning Satellite transmitters will meanwhile shows that particular WTTV location around the clock, throughout the year. As carbon offsets become increasingly available to consumers, we believe consumers will expect greater evidence of offset-company viability. In addition to the advancement of our primary goal – the wind-power alternative – we intend to become a carbon exchange role model through the sheer transparency of our operation, and through the demonstration of private sector profitability related to alternative energy production.
