When you donate to WindRoads, the company adds the cash received to other sources, which go toward the purchase of WTTVs. WindRoads’ delivery costs will be at least competitive with standard trucking industry rates.
20% of every dollar goes to a voluntary green renewable energy credit.  For one year of the donor's carbon footprint and 70% goes to the purchase or lease of additional WTTV's.

Thomas concludes, “We want to be become a Carbon Offset role model as a well-run company, without reliance on public stockholders or government subsidies.”

Given WindRoads depth of expertise and commitment, this environmentally friendly company and its Carbon Offset program are definitely headed in the right direction.

Estimate Round Trips

  1. Blades from a single wind turbine require 3 round trips from pick up locale to the wind farm and back.
  2. The base of the turbine, depending on size will require 2 or 3 round trips.
  3. The NACELLE [electrical wiring shell] requires 1 round trip.
  4. 365 days in a year less 104 weekend days leaves 261 possible delivery days.
  5. Allowing for weather and other delays, we estimate one WTTV will make 108 round trips per year and deliver 18 to 20 wind turbines to a wind farm.

'We mean business when it comes to helping America reduce carbon emissions.'

How it works

'Scientists may disagree on the causes of global warming, but each of us should be doing whatever we can to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions into the air for the sake of our grandchildren and future generations.'
